blurr, if I had a manual or the board in hand I would. This is the 2nd post of mine that you given a "shrewd" reply to. I also see that you went on to post an idiotic thread about a member & rambus that was immediately locked. Humm....

<shakes head>

phlash, thank you.

i have an abit be6-2 and if you cant find it through your bios and lost your manual go to their website and download the manual.

their site, which took me forever to find, is www.abit-usa.com

abit.com takes you to some stupid motherboard store that knows jack about their boards, i tried asking them my question and the had no idea.

Wassuppp--I have my manual and in BIOS-- in the -integrated peripherals- you can in the "Ultra DMA-66 IDE Controller" enable/disable.

Syborg, who says I was mad? I was questioning his thought process.

The main reason I asked this question was I was PLANNING on grabbing a BE6-II from the office and figured I would get a quick answer here that "might" save me a trip out in the cold weather.

Steven, I have the manual now and I did find the entry. :)
