I've found that Wells Fargo tellers and phone reps
are pathetic. The tellers are just cashiers, and the phone reps are just CS dolts. On the other hand, at my credit union (and at Norwest before they were bought out by Wells Fargo), these people have a much higher level of authority and responsibility, and can actually help you if you have a problem or a question, instead of just reading off the computer screen. (The Wells Fargo "first line of service" people apparently have the exact same delayed info on their monitors as I can find for myself on the bank's web site; the real-time transaction info is queued up for a once-a-day update deep inside the electronic ether, where nobody at the branches or "phone-banking" has access to it.)
Pathetic people who are paid pathetically and given no respect or significant responsibility
do occasionally steal from work.
(I know you said you were kidding, har har, but it's no laughing matter when it directly affects your money.)
