Can you deposit a US Money Order into your checking account, or do you need to cash it first at the Post Office?

I work at a bank, and the answer is definitely YES. (If not, close your account and go to a real bank!) :)

Sure you can. Postal money orders are probably the safest form of money transfer available. It's just like cash. Thumbs up to the postal service for providing this great service!

Of course you can...just as good as a check. In fact, you *can't* cash it at the post office...
