Can you damage a Video Card by overclocking the AGP bus speed??

I recently installed a new Gigabyte ATI 9800 Pro - 128 MB video card on an AGP bus that was overclocked to 88mhz. The computer would not post after many reboots (10-15...though not consecutively). I then realized/forgot that I had to reduce the clock speed of the AGP bus to get the card to boot.

So I was wondering if I may have damaged my card?
