Can you Crossfire two different cards for Freesync support?

I have two 7950's. I was wondering if I replaced one of them with a R9 380 or 380x could I use those cards in crossfire? Would I be able to use Freesync in Crossfire since my monitor already supports it?

Thanks

I assume you meant 7950, not 5970. Are you trying to Crossfire a 7950 and a 380 series? This will not be possible. 7950 is Tahiti and 380 series is Tonga. You can only Crossfire in the same chip.

No, don't do that! Sell both of those 7950s, and buy yourself a new HD390, or better yet, an HD390X, for not very much out of pocket. You'll have slightly better performance in 100% of games, instead of only in the games where Crossfire is supported.
