Can you connect SATA & IDE at once?

Sorry I havent kept up much in the Hard drive space, can I connect a SATA & an IDE HDD at once?

As long as you have controllers and ports for both - not a problem. BTW - SATA is IDE. To distinguish between the old and the new, use SATA and PATA.
