Question Can you confirm a p.s. decision I made?

Guys,

I getting ready to build a new system: Fracal Design Focus G case, ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 board, Ryzen 5 3600, Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 (2 x 8GB), RX 560 4GB video card, WD SN 550 NVMe m.2 1TB SSD.

I bought an Antec Value Power Series VP650 Plus, 650W Non-Modular, 80 PLUS Certified p.s. to power it. I have a Corsair RMx Series RM650x 2018 CP-9020178-NA 650W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular p.s. that has seen very little duty over the past 6 months, currently in a Dell Optiplex 9020 Core i7-4790.

My original plan was to simply put the Antec in the new build. However, I'm leaning toward putting the Corsair in my new build, and putting the Antec in the Optiplex.

Is the Corsair that much better than the Antec, that it makes sense to move it from the Dell to my new build?

TIA,

Jeff

The Corsair is better in every regard compared to the Antec. Better built, longer warranty, quieter, more efficient, etc.

I guess it just depends if you want to take the time and move the Corsair into the new PC. At the end of the day, as long as the power supply works properly, it wouldn't make much of a real world difference. Since the Corsair is more efficient having a gold efficiency rating, maybe install it in whichever PC is used the most.
