can you combine several .avi files into one file

My sister sent me home video she took. She had to break up the big file into smaller files so she could email them to me. Is there a way to recombine the files back into one?

Peck's is an easier solution but I don't know if it handles all .avi's

VirtualDub is a simply incredible program. Download it immediately.

This link on the pecks powerjoin site looks like a decently easy guide for using virtual dub.

I'm not familiar with pecks though, it could also be easy.

Pecks is your basic file joiner, select the files, and click join. Doesn't have too many fancy options.
