I have a case for you all, that i would like to hear what can you say about this problem, i borrow my friends Windows XP CD, to try on my "New Computer" just to see if my system work or not, as the story go, the XP CD doesn't have any CD key, so what i did is I get a product key in our office, because all our system in work is using windows XP Pro also ^_^

after all the things i need is in place, I installed the XP on my computer, after install the XP, I see a pop-up on the system tray that it is asking me to register the copy of my OS, so I did, but there is a problem, MS detected that I'm not using the same Product key included on the CD, after I try it for a couple of time, still no use, so I let set there because there is 30 day period before the MS expires, days past by....

I'm now down to at least 3 day before the XP will expire T_T

I've talk to my friends about my problem, one of them suggested to run regedit....

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\Current Version

delete the # 20 on OOBETIMER

can you till me what will happen next if i will do this?

i will try this after my shift is finished ^_^

I will till you all if it work or not.... i hope this one works i dont want to spend a large amount of time again just to install the XP on my system

Yes, go to Newegg and buy a copy of XP. You've tried XP out on your new system for 30 days, now follow through with your promise.
