If you've already got a stable of decent lenses with compatible mounts, no need to get the fairly low-end lens that comes with the kit.

Maybe I'm just a greedy mofo, but I'd still rather have it just to have it. It's not a bad little lens, and if something happened to it it's not worth crying over.
