Can you buy an ASUS CUSL2 or CUSL@-c mobo with the on-board audio option?

I'm a newbie, and I want to set up a second system for my 7-year old (his old 233 just doesn't cut playing Unreal over our home network), and I don't need teeth-jarring sound. I see the both boards ( ASUS CUSL2 & CUSL2-C) have optional on-board sound, but I can't find anyone selling them. Do they make them? Any leads?

With the price of good add-on sound cards very low why not go for a quality card like the SoundBlaster Live! Value. It's only $60 Canadian ($38 US) up here in Canada. You'll get much better sound quality and you don't have to worry about disabling the on-board sound later when you decide you want a quality soundcard.

Of course, it's up to you but, myself, I stay away from integrated peripherals. They can be a pain in the ars.

I've thought of that, however, since it's my first build, I want to keep it simple. Also, It's $40 bucks I'd rather put into other components, since all our computers are in one room, and two SB Live Value in the room would be overkill. I just thought if they were available and only $5-$10 more, I'd just by the board with the on-board sound, but I can't find them......

In theory they exist, but I have never seen one. You could get the MSI 815E instead. It has the onboard sound.
