I mean. Here is a GTX 2080 set up for less than I could build comparably in pc part picker

https://www.costco.com/lenovo-legio...00k---geforce-rtx-2080.product.100464914.html

I’ll be the first to admit im a basic noob and don’t know the deep specs.

I guess my question is, is there that big a difference in quality of parts?

will this Lenovo start on fire after 5 minutes and give me cancer while I sleep, or is it perfectly capable of handling games for years to come?

And is there a marked difference between something like the Lenovo and say Alienware/HP/Cuberpower?

Appreciate all opinions!

Prebuilts usually cheap out on case, psu, motherboard. Hard to say what the quality of the lenovo system is without knowing the exact components in it, but it probably works alright for what it is. However I didn't have any trouble beating that price in pcpartpicker and getting better specs while doing so. Don't really see the point in buying this prebuilt if you are capable of building it yourself.

Idk, I just put together this :

9700k
212+ Evo
MSI Z390 Pro
2080 Super EVGA Black Gaming
16GB Corsair 3200
480GB SSD + WD 1TB
NZXT Case
600W EVGA PSU
W10

For under $1600.

I know you can do better than that one up there.
