i would imagine that you would be able to, just check your BIOS and look for the part where it says, "first bootable device" or something like that, they should have an option under their

I have omnibook 500 without docking station and it has only usb ports,no serial or paralel and only option is usb.I tried formating zip drive with system files,and in bios notebook recognizes the usb zip drive and i did put it as first device to boot from but still wont freakin do it...God damn!!!!!!!!

i am trying to install any os,,my hard disk is empty and i am trying install win95/98 and then ill take it from there with upgrade over network.But i cannot make it boot from freakin zip drive.It wont even look at it..and i guess last option will be to get win95 on floppies and install from there.. If i could somehow boot of floppy with usb zip support i could just transfer files from zip to HDD..but i cant even do that..
