Look in the front section of your white pages phone book, if you can do it, it will tell you how. Probably "Call Block" or "Call Rejection".

Another thing you can do is buy a small device that hooks into your phone line, before your telephone, that will prompt the caller for a four-digit number... if the number entered is incorrect, the caller is politely disconnected.
This will cost some money initially ($30 in a catalog I saw), but there are no monthly payments.

You sometimes have to pay a fee for what you're asking, and it will only work if the other party is serviced by the same phone company.

Yah, through the phone company. You can call to report harassing phone calls, but you'll have to fill out some stuff prob.

I used to live w/ two roommates in teh late 90's. We had a young friend who was divorcing his wife and living with us during the nighttime. We got call block, and would block her calls (up to 6 numbers) but she must've had a lot of friends, b/c she could still call from their houses, so I called and reported harassing phone calls from her, but they sent out paperwork and sh!t to fill out so I said the hell with it.
