I can't bend my pinkie even 90 degrees without my ring finger going nuts. Is this normal?

edit: seems like some people can while some can't. Do you think it's something you are born with, or can you train yourself?

No..I can do almost anything with my pinky without my ring finger. I can make it bend upwards, downwards, sidewards etc...

Wait a sec... what's a pinky?

No, my pinky only goes about 30 degrees before the ring finger starts moving. Here's another one... I can bend my ring finger without moving my middle finger, but I can't bend my middle finger without the ring moving.

My ring finger bends whether I want it to or not. I can, however, straighten my ring finger while leaving the pinky in the bent position. Does that count for anything?

I can bend my entire pinky down 90º from the rest of my fingers, but I can't bend it at the second digit without my ring finger moving.

Wow, if this poll is representative then one in twenty computer geeks is missing a finger, hand or arm.

Only on my left hand. I can bent the lower knuckle of my pinkie 90° while keeping my ring finger straight.
With my upper knuckle or right hand fingers it's hopeless.

Guess I'm not alone. I feel so much better now! Perhaps.

I believe everyone is like that, it's because the tendons in the hand overlap there so you have to move you ring finger when you move your middle finger but not vice versa.
