Can you believe this A$$hole?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why he is an "a$$hole." Is it because he is published at such a young age, or is it because you disagree with his opinions?

He's 14, what insights is he going to tell me about homosexuality and abortion?

No, but he's going to regurgitate the hubris and bigotry of his parents.

Here is my problem He talks of a "Leftist Agenda," meaning his thoughts on homosexuality probably include that it should be illegal.

But he is:
A)14
B)From rural Oklahoma.

What are the odds that he has EVER IN HIS LIFE actually seen an openly gay person? Probably zero. This kid is a fanatic and (i think) has been poisoned against the world by his parents during his homeschooling years.

What does the OP base his judgement on? I read the description, and there isn't really anything in there that tells what the kid thinks... other than the mention of a left-wing agenda at work in our country. Have you read the book? Do you know the kid? How did you come to the determination that the kid is an 'A$$hole'?

He lives smack dab in the middle of the bible belt. Huzzah! I'd read it for the same reason I read AL Franken or Bill O'Reilly. It's good filler when you're on the pot. No political value whatsoever.

Do you honestly believe it'll be anything other than the same old regurgitated sh!t? What insights can a homeschooled kid from rural oklahoma have?

I don't trust homeschooled rich 14 year old kids' - who can actually publicate books- opinions on politics and homosexuality.
I'm not even sure if that book was written by a 14 yo. kid.

No political value? Since when does propaganda in any form have no political value? Every P&N-related thread on AT is based on arguments entirely derived from propaganda and spin doctoring, and this book just proves that the conservative-masses subscribe to the same.

Will you get head out of you anus and stop thinking along political lines for ONCE? The kid is 14 years old - I don't care which side he's arguing, he's a pimple-faced pipsqueak, who can't even piss straight yet.

Do you honestly think that just because he is 14, he can't be politically aware? I was at that age. Do you think that he is too young to form his own opinions on things like abortion and homosexuality? I started forming my own opinions on things like that at a very young age.

Is that the way you argue something, by calling everyone names? You shouldn't relate your own lack of precociousness to that of others.

From reading some of his stuff on "World Net Daily" his opinions arent any more advanced or astounding than those of an average informed adult. He should not have his own damn book just because he's 14.

What's with all the ignorant arguments in this thread?

Having a medium to publish says NOTHING about the validity of one's musings; the preponderance of all the trite tripe (hmm) on the shelves of bookstores is evidence.

This is a good point. The reason why such a book is perhaps more plausible when on this side of the political spectrum is simply because the conservative stance often boils down to religious-based stances with circular and child-like logic. This being the case, his condemnation of homosexuality and abortion because "god" says so and proof of good because the "bible says so", is no less "sophisticated" than the 50-year children spouting the same thing.

The most dastardly thing about this situation, is that the kid and his "innocence" is being prostituted by his parents (and the local minister, I'm sure) for a quick buck.

No, its because you are so wrapped up in whether someone is bashing your political stance, that you fail to draw the obvious conclusion posed by the circumstance - that I'm appalled at a 14 year-old doling out political advice.
