So many people out there in the world, it seems odd that there is only one person for another...in regard to intense emotions and bonding of love. Clearly, gender has different slants on this... please discuss.

I certainly hope so. But shopping for them all at Christmas time is certainly a bitch!

Yes, you can, because I am in love with both Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Alba.

I've never personally been in a situation where I felt I really loved two women at the same time but I do think it'd be possible.

I just got in contact with an old gf after a lapse of about 8 years. She was the sweetest girl and loved me dearly but circumstances were that we couldn't be together. She's still the same but she's in a relationship and so am I. I still care about her but also for my current gf so its kind of complicated.

Infatuation (feelings that appear to be exactly like love, so close that you think it is love): yes.

Real love (hard work to make one relationship work): no, there isn't enough time in the day to devote that amount of work to multiple people.

Element of truth in that.

In lust or in love? :)

Unconditional love, possible, but I'm sure that is rare.

Now being "In Lust".. fvck yeah..

Yup it's definitely possible. There are so many people out there, there's bound to be many who can be your partner. But that doesn't mean I think we should all go around having multiple wives or girlfriends.

LOVE (not family love), no... To love 2 persons you would have to love each of them 50%, which wouldnt be true love, so its not possible :) IF you love someone 100%, it leaves 0% for someone else... And thats why when youre in love you dont really care if some hot chick comes nearby, well you do because of the sexual aspect, but if she tried to seduce you, its wasted time... For everyone who replies with "bullshit" you're obviously not in love :)

Why the middle east. Just move to Utah.

'Cause the state of Utah is lame and you can't carry large swords on your side at all times out in the public.

Yes you can, but you probably shouldn't be. It's a situation that almost never ends well.

EDIT: except apparently in JeffreyLebowski's case, see a couple posts up

By loving one, you'd be betraying the other. You cannot truly love someone if you are betraying them, can you?

Yes. I don't want to elaborate only to say love is a powerful emotion that is hard to limit.
