can you backup a DVD movie onto 2 DVD+R's?

DVD movies won't fit on single-layer DVD+R right? and I don't want to do dual layer because the fastest dual layer speed is only 5x.

so is it possible (and easy) and is software readily available that can backup a DVD movie with menu and extra features and all onto 2 DVD+R's?

DVD Decrypter to RIP, DVD Shrink to compress and burn. Tada.

EDIT: Doing it right now in fact.

Why not use DVD Shrink for everything? 😕

DVDFab will split the movie for you, thus giving you the entire movie without sacrificing the extras or the quality.

If so, why?

ps. dvds look like shi2t on HDs (compared to an HD signal at least, so i can understand why you wouldn't wanna compress anything )

I never said it would be half quality. Just reduced if you tried to put everything on to a single 4.5 gig DVDR. That is all I meant.

just compress it to fit on one.

and make it an imperfect recompressed and artifacty copy🙂

so to not sacrifice quality you split using something like clonecd or dvdshrink.. split at certain chapter or whatever. then you sacrifice with disc swap half way through movie. i'd say its better to retain image quality though😛 dvd fab split point is generally sh*tty

either way ur screwed
