Ok I am looking for a software that will automatically backup all my saved games. I am running windows 7 64 bit. Now i know you can just copy some files from you user name but that isnt very afficient just because not all games get placed there some get placed under the game folder and other are saved under the public folder.

I have tried 2 different pieces of software
1. Gamesavedback (didnt work well at all)
2. Masgua which found about 1/3 of the pc games I have installed.

I am getting my ssd back in about 3-4 days. I had to have it rma'ed. After I get it back I will be placing my os back on it and i dont wanna loose aall my saved games that I have been placing on my currect hdd.

I have losed them far to many times and it really sucks. If there isnt a software that will do it automatically for me is there a backup piece of software that will backup exactly what folders I tell it. And have it back up so all I have to do is copy and past it back in if my current saves become curropt.

Thanks in advanced for all your help guys I really appreciate it.

i don't know of anything specifically for saved games. most backup software allows you to specify what files/folders to back up though.

So you're getting your SSD back... why exactly can't you hook up your current drive as a slave and go pull the saves as needed (or even run the games from it if you want to skip the instal). As pontifex said, almost all backup software lets you specify folders/files to back up...

I am fairly certain you could use any run-of-the-mill backup program to automatically back up specific folders on a periodic basis. That's probably as close as you will get.

damn lol I thought forsure they would have came up with soemthing by now. as for getting the ssd back. If I get a virus or if something goes wrong with my pc then I wont have the ability to salavage my games. If I have a backup it would be much better. Plus my ssd is only 80g its the intel one. My harddisk that I am using now I have installed the os and all the games on it for a temporarty fix. I dont wanna clone or anything the whole image over.

What backup software do you know of that will actaully back the folders and not make them into an image. Does anyone have an idea of about it. i would appreicate the help

I really like synctoy it seems very easy to use and does almost exactly what I want it to do. thanks a ton.

Now all saved games will be placed under either 2 different top folders right. Either Programdata (its hidden)
under Users (not hidden)

I backed up both of them. My question is are there any more places they may hide saved games at.

Not every game saves to the same location. If you want to be 100% sure, check the forums for those specific games. You could have locations in your Program Files, My Documents, My Games, User App Data, etc.

Get a pen a paper and as you backup your save games manually write down where they go. It might take a while to find them all the first time, but since your taking note of their locations it will be much quicker to do your backups after that, especially since you don't need to backup all of them all the time. Also, once you know where they are its very easy to write a batch file like someone mentioned earlier that can do it all over you in one click.

Wow, that's a damn fine idea. I've always pondered how I should keep my savegames indefinitely... one of those free 2GB services would work perfectly and sync themselves. Fan-fucking-tastic, thanks!
