Can you access Microsoft.com?

WTH, this cannot be isolated to just me. Network-tools.com couldn't ping or tracert microsoft.com either. I can't access any microsoft site(including MSN).

Can you get to Symantec.com or McAfee.com? If no to those two also, your probably infected with something....

Oddly enough it was my router. I could access every site but microsoft.com. I reset the router and then everything was fine. My laptop COULD access Microsoft, and this is on the same connection. There are no viruses on this computer because it is brand new. I had just unboxed it and was going to download updates. I could access symantec fine.
