Can WMP11 take me away from Winamp + MPC?

I use Winamp 5.24 for music and MPC for videos. Actually, I use WMP so infrequently (read: never), that when you open it on my computer it brings up the initial setup screen for WMP9. So I've never used it once on this OS install.

I don't feel like trying WMP11 so just tell me, is it good enough to take me away from Winamp AND MPC? For .mp3's, playlists, all video files, DVDs, etc.

If Winamp is fine, why switch?
I'm all for using programs that come with my OS if they are good enough. But that has never been the case for WMP compared to the functionality of Winamp and MPC.

Sorry don't be confused. It was just a way of asking, is 11 much improved over 10? Anything I'd like better?

no
I like to have my music player open with my playlist set and then watch a video without it screwing up the player

Try it, you might like it. You're not losing anything by updating WMP 9 that you never use. If you dont like it then just go back.

Theres nothing amazingly groundbreaking that i can see from the betas, i like the mini player feature that now does a tiny version of the video thats playing. Means i can surf and watch south park too.

Look at it this way... WHEN you upgrade to Vista, you won't have a choice. Well, unless you install Winamp...

WMP7, WMP8 and WMP9 were very shaky, imo. WMP10 works well for me, and that's when I switched from using winamp. I like WMP11 even better. Maybe not as many options and controls for different video types as MPC, but I don't have any outrageously wierd video formats that I need access to options menus for, so it's never been an issue to me.
