Can wisdom teeth extractions cause jaundice? (yellowing of skin)

I just had 3 wisdom teeth removed last week and noticed a few mins ago after my shower from my cheeks down to my chest, there's a pretty noticeable discoloration that looks exactly like jaundice. I was feeling a lot of throat pain and inflamed lymph nodes in my neck after the extractions. Is this normal? I'll be seeing the oral surgeon tomorrow but I'd like to know if anyone else have had similar problems. Kind of freaked me out.

no.
were you put under for the extractions? you likely got bruised/black&blue and now it's turned yellow as part of the healing process.

Don't worry it is just the zombification fluid taking effect. In 2-3 days you will have no memories and a craving for brains.

Sounds like the life.

Mosh, no I just had local anesthetics. Also read on some other site that the yellowing is pretty normal so I should be good to go. Just thought it was weird at first.

AFAIK Jaundice is caused by the failure of the liver to process bilirubin. This leads to buildup in the bloodstream. If you actually have 'jaundice' your entire body should be yellow-er, as well as your eyes.

So..its probably not jaundice (unless you've got liver failure).

Jaundice is liver related. A problem often found in alcoholics (their eyes will turn yellow, it's pretty...strange).

EDIT: I should have read a few more posts.

The reason I asked if you had gen anesthesia is because sometimes that allows them to be rougher with you. Hence the bruising, and yellow is the final stage of bruising btw. It still sounds to me like you had been bruised from the procedure.
