Can Windows XP be set up to require a password to log in like Windows 2000?

Do you want it to ask for a user name and password, or just a password, you can set it up either way. If you want a password set for a specific user, go in to control panel, click on user accounts, clock on the account you want to put the password on then click change password. The old password will of course be blank if you haven't set it yet. Then go back to the main user accounts screen, and click change the way users log on or off. If you have the welcome screen enabled, the different user names will show up as icons when windows starts, you click the user name you want to log on, and type in the password. If you uncheck the box for welcome screen, you'll get the windows 2000 style login, where you have to type in both the user name, and the password.
