Windows NT/2000/XP, or Win98/ME?

If NT/2000/XP: Yes
If 98/ME: No

Hope this helps..

Actually, I was guessing about XP (since it's based on the NT/2000 kernel, I'm assuming they've compiled NTFS support in..) BTW if I'm not mistaken, Linux has NTFS read and now maybe read/write support available (you may have to recompile the kernel, however).

Linux and Windows 9x both have 3rd party utilities that can read NTFS....the key is getting the correct permissions if memory serves.

To access NTFS in Windows 9x/ME : Link (Unless you purchase it, access is Read Only)

You can also try:
Link .. Which is NTFS in DOS, again Read Only unless you purchase it

Here's another version of NTFS For DOS: Link

If you're using Windows NT/2000/XP they can all access NTFS partitions unless they're encrypted or you don't have the proper security rights to access it.

Did you have any permissions on the drive...like on the sharing or security tab?

Still think partition magic hosed it when it tried to create a partition...Partition Magic has a known history of doing this.

NTFS Pro can do it from a DOS prompt. I'm sure they have 3rd party utilities that do it within Windows.
