I heard that the Windows 2000 SP1 will not install if the \WinNT directory is not on c:\.

Is this true?

You can have the OS installed on ANY partition and have all software that supports the OS run fine without any problems.

I have no D: drive in my current setup. Everything works fine. The only things that may not work are old programs with poor programming which only install on C drive.
