can win2k read a xp format hard drive?

hey, got 2 hard drives but formatted with win xp. but i'm gonna re-format and re-install win2k on the first hard drive. will the second xp-formatted hard drive still be readable and fully functional?

Yes, assuming that you used NTFS, without any encryption stuff. I am not sure about the encrypted file system (only if you have XP Pro).
I am not sure if EFS is backward compatible with W2K ??

EFS is compatible for both WinXP NTFS 5.1 and Win2K NTFS 5.0.
