Can Win 2k Pro run on this hardware platform?

I visited microsoft's website and they say the minimum requirements to run Windows 2k Pro is a 133 mhz w/64mb of ram. Though I know 128 is really the minimum, I was wondering if I could realistically run Win2k Pro on the below hardware and wanted to hear people's experiences with running win2k with a slower cpu.

AMD K6-2 200mhz with 128mb of ram. Is this realistically possible. Though I realize it isn't go to be the fastest, I don't want to wait endlessly when I use it. Comments, insights, critiques?

Like anything else it depends on your tolerance. At work I have a PII w/ 96Mb RAM & it runs tolerably well. It gets bogged down with 3 - 4 applications running at once (lots of disk swapping). But it does run okay. I also have SETI@home runnning full time so I'm guessing that it's more the lack of RAM than processor speed. You could always upgrade the processor, if you're lucky a BIOS update & $40 would get you a K6-2 450 (or so). I think you've got the RAM covered, 128 should be fine (of course more is always better ;) ).

hi there,
I use PII350 with 64 Mb Ram It works fine for me
but it does seem to get a bit cloggy after 4-5 hours of heavy
usage ,Going for 128 Mb Ram would be sufficient!

I got w2k running on a POS thinkpad 760 with a 133mhz processor and 32 megs of ram. I then took out 16 megs and it booted with just 16 megs. Slow as hell but possible.
