I put up my first effort of an e-commerce site this past week.

My first order was an obviously fraudelent order someone wanted me to ship to the UAE.

Also, I created a catch-all email address for the domain and my only e-mails thus far have been spam.

People suck. :disgust: Remember the days of BBS's or CompuServe and Prodigy networds when the only people allowed "online" were "members."

What's stopping you from creating an e-commerce site with 'members' only access?

Ah of course, then your market will be much smaller.

yeah....good luck with that one (creating a new internet)...once it has free porn on it let me know and I'll join :D

I dunno how these guys gather domains and crap so fast to spam. I mean one of my sites was NEVER advertized or much done to it except put a web foum up (which no one was invited to) and all the sudden i was getting 50+ emails a week to my catch all there.

You mean I'd get fraud and spam.... and legit sales... from fewer people? ;)

Spam sucks. I don't even use default e-mail addresses any more. If the e-mail's not going to a specific valid e-mail address, it just gets dumped, non-deliverable.
