Can we send drugs through mail?

My friend was asking me about this and I am not quite sure. So I turn to you people, I live in CA and it's just some medicine to control your blood pressure...nothing dangerous.

 

It depends. If it's for your cousin, I think it's okay.

Actually I'm not sure. I'd check with your local post office officials.

Unless you're a physician or pharmacist prescribing it, I think it's illegal. Read through this if you feel like it. Probably easiest just to call and ask though.

Edit: If it's OTC stuff, I think it's okay.

Umm I saw a whole thing on CNN, or 60 mins about people getting online and ordering steroids from mexico, and getting them fedEx'ed to there door...Buy here
I thought that was what you were talking about....hmmm do a google search, and the first site was selling MLB tickets, and steroids....coincidence? I think not.

Other than that fedEx them, or ups, and no one knows what's inside anyway.....

Its true...sending and receiving via 3rd-party courier services works fine (my NYC friend tells me this.) Just don't be surprised if those UPS boys skim a little from the top! And unless you want a visit from the DEA, don't send anything via USPS!

I've ordered Ibuprofen and other OTC drugs over the internet before and they came via USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex. None had any problems. I think the key here is to make sure that the drugs being sent are legal. Also, make sure the party to recieve them is supposed to have them, or is the owner of them. There shouldn't be too many other problems beyond that, but you still want to check if you use the USPS to send them. It would be pretty bad to get 'caught' sending something like that if it were against their rule....that is, IF they do any package screening.
