your knowledge seems short of the mark also.
Can you elaborate?

Sorry, I'll disagree on this one.
It's regressive, we're plunking things on Mars, ya know ?
Not manned vessels. Which require CONSIDERABLY more work. They are much heavier and larger and need loads of space for oxygen and food and such. That corresponds to exponentially larger rockets.
Can you elaborate?
unless you have an engineering degree in rockets etc then your opinions are simply opinions.
Isn't posting that essentially tu quoque
He avoided explaining how he thought my knowledge was wrong by using some form of valid but limited authority as an goalpost that one had to have to otherwise have any possibility of being correct. So yes his response was tu quoque and that was the fallacy I had found that was applicable but I was looking for false associating with another authority. So I suppose I am looking at a combination of false cause, special pleading, and appeal to authority.
as i mentioned before the chinese program will stall and fall short because they will run out of technology to steal and cannot advance themselves quickly to meet those objectives. Look it took thousands of engineers, thousands of contractors and subcontractors and billions of dollars to get the Americans to the moon. without old russian technology to help their program along I just do not see the chinese getting to the moon that quickly never mind mars. You may disagree but that is mu opinion. Just ask yourself, why haven't the chinese at least circled the moon with a manned vehicle?China is methodically running their space program and they are on a freight train roll towards running a fully operational spaceflight program which includes space stations in Earth orbit, Lunar colonies, and possibly the potential as the first country to successfully complete human spaceflight to Mars.

What part of the word methodical do you not understand? This is not a sprint. It is a marathon.

Look this discussion is already laid clear by those links and the information you find by reading instead of listening to your fox disinformation channel. There is nothing more to this discussion. This is nothing but trolling.
You could build something to go to the moon that would be less complex I imagine, the US private sector will be filling that void soon I imagine as far as just getting to the ISS.
NASA has been flying ISS transports via SpaceX already since 2012.
As I already said research just doesn't get the public panties wet anymore. As for resources there is nothing out there that is worth the cost of getting to it. Even if you found an asteroid made of pure gold it would still be cheaper to find and mine that same amount of gold right here on Earth. There is still lots of resources left untapped here, the only question is how much will it cost to get to those resources. The answer is less then to get them from space.
Yah but you have to find that gold and civilization has been mining for gold for thousands of years already. Much of the easy to find gold was already mined a long time ago. Also much of the natural resources we still have here on Earth can cause massive ecological devastation if we try to exploit them.
How can one live a place having no gravity , if its possible then there would be no "pole vault" event in Moon Olympics![]()
