Can we not allow one religious thread a day in OT? Why the lock?

Why was it necessary to lock Stark's Day 2 Genesis 4-7 thread? He wasn't being preachy, nobody is being forced to read it, and you can't tell me that it's troll-like behaviour to make ONE post a day on a given topic.

Why give in to the real trolls of OT who don't possess the brain cells to leave a thread well enough alone? I'm a fervent athiest myself, but I wouldn't mind reading and conversing upon a snippet of the Bible each day. You should be vacationing/banning the people who troll in the post, instead of locking the thread.

No need to create a new thread each day, he can just edit the thread title.

The 2nd day would be completely lost in the already massive thread after day 1. Imagine 365 days.

I don't see why 1 thread a day is an issue. It's 10x more useful than half of the threads that hit OT anyway.

Why not one per week?

I personally don't have a problem with the thread. I can ignore 10 of them as easily as I can ignore one. :)

I dont understand why it was banned either.

One post a day on the same subject is a lot less than the scores of reposts on the same subject.
