Can we make the ads a little bit...dumber?

I know it's all for profit etc etc, and I know it costs money to run a site...but perhaps we can make the ads just slightly stupider in the FS/FT section?

Whenever a product is posted for sale, i always see a ton of other ads on the side saying where you can buy the product, sometimes for slightly less money.

I call it automated thread crapping 😉 I am fine with the ads, but it's kind of obtrusive on others FS/FT threads.

Just food for thought for the AT folk 🙂

if you're being duped for more money in the FS/FT forum then it serves you right 🙂

If someone is selling their item for more than you could buy it at a store, then they'll have to learn from that when no one buys their things.

You forget that people will pay extra just to say they got something at a non-retail price. 🙂 Not even check retail prices, just assume it's cheaper this way.

Bottom line is the mods do not allow thread crapping, and I am 100% in agreement with that rule...not that I like to rip people off, but that it's not right to link people to other people's/companies cheaper products in their thread. it is up to the user to do price comparisons.

As I said, I don't have a problem with ads...I would just prefer if they displayed a random ad as opposed to one related to the product one is selling!
