Can we have a laptop topic? (Poll)

It's tough sorting through all the recommendations in General Hardware, Off Topic, etc. Perhaps a topic that just deals with laptops, notebooks, laptops, notebooks and laptops would be useful...

I'm looking for a laptop to buy and I'm having trouble finding reviews. I have a month or two to make my purchase so I plan on waiting until a good laptop is available. I'd enjoy reading other peoples' opinions and experiences with their laptops.

Also, I'm looking for a good laptop review site - like Cnet.com but good.

This is what I want: P3-M 700+ , 1.5" or thinner, 6lbs or less, Geforce or Radeon, DVD built-in/modular, 14" or larger screen, sturdy casing - The only laptop I've seen that meets this is the Dell Inspiron 4100 - I'd like to compare with a few others.

yea i think we should have a notebook/pda/cellphone or something section.

Also dont get the i4100.

get the toshiba satelite 3005, is about .3 pounds lighter (that used to say .3 inches hahah), cheaper, and looks better and feels better built.

.3 inches lighter? Awesome! I bet it costs like 30 megahertz less!

hehe.. I know what you mean.. I just wanted to bump this thread so it might get noticed.

$1500 about.. I can go higher if it's a really killer deal.. I'd prefer to get the minimum requirements for around $1100
