If there is still active discussion and not a bunch of flaming or neffing then I don't see why it should be locked.

Well, I didn't read the entire thread but what's the harm? I mean, it's in OT, it has an interesting if not futile argument (which makes it a prime candidate for OT) and the flames seem to have been fairly mild. As I said, I didn't read the whole thing and frankly don't intend to but I just don't see why you have your shorts in a bunch over this. There are a lot more troublesome threads/posts to worry about than this one. A non-issue methinks.
