I know we have a video one but that is clearly for graphics card as that is the main topic there.

Mods?

I don't believe that a digital camera forum in itself represents enough interest for it's own forum. Especially not a camcorder. IIRC, we're at the maximum number of forums anyway.

I think the only way anything like this would/could happen is if it's a whole digital forum, like digital cameras, scanners, digital artwork, etc etc along those types of lines, but digi cams in itself do not merit it's own forum.

They were batting around an idea for sub forums sometime back, but like many ideas this one appears to have fallen off the wagon.

Clearly I was promoting the digital camera angle. I only listed the camcorder thing so it would have a broader appeal. You want scanners including, fine.

Um, I only said that because that's the ONLY way it would even be considered, if the forum involved more than just digi cams. If you're just promoting the digi camera angle then like everyone (including me) already said, NO.

What about an "optical" forum? Everything from copiers, to scanners, to printers (a strech maybe) to cameras.

Only because no one posts with digital camera/camcorder stuff in the video forum. If people started to do so, that one forum could easily accomodate it IMHO.

No, there are already established digicam forums.

Of course I can't for the life of me name any of them :)

What does that have to do with anything? There are established overclocking, SFF, and OT forums but people still go here. One stop shop.

As for MEMBERS saying "no", I don't really understand the purpose of that. You guys say no as if you have the power to create forums. I just thought it would be a nice idea.

Hmm, I always thought video was related to displays and video cards (seems to be mostly video cards). I always posted my inquiries about digicams into peripherals.

I dunno, I just enjoy disagreeing/sparring with you ;)

We're stating the obvious. You're not someone who frequents FI on a regular basis, because if you were, you would see every other request for a minor forum be shot down by the mods or Zuni. We're just repeating what they will say. Oh and before you say "well that's not your place", have you seen any authority figure come here and tell you otherwise? It's been almost a full day and no response.
