Can we get 1080i HD on this TV set?

My roommate has an approximately five-year-old Mitsubishi rear-projection 55" TV set. This year we're living on campus and so it's hooked up to regular cable. Next year we will be in our own place and are curious if we can get HD on this set. There is no model number on the front, but it says in large print "HD 1080 Series." I looked it up online and it seems like it's something like the WS-55809 or thereabouts, and claims to be HDTV Ready. Does this mean if we got Comcast Enhanced Cable with the set-top box and all that that we could receive HD channels or not?

If it's HD-ready that means it doesn't have an HD tuner built in, but if you have one from Comcast you can do HD, yes.

Get the dual tuner HD PVR box. It's great and worth the extra $5 or so a month.
