Can we fix the Emoticons?

If you use a dark background you get a real nasty edge around all of them (you can tell they were meant for a light background). It would be easy to either make them 32-bit & alpha blended around the edge, or just give them a sharp cut-off, but somebody's gotta do it. I'd be willing to do the image editing if you want, but if I did would you be willing to replace them with the clean-cut ones? It's just been bothering me...

They just look like they were dithered, so the black outline isn't really a black outline. There's obviously a transparency set because there's grey border that doesn't show unless you open it in an image app, there just happens to be more grey of a different shade as it moves towards the black border.
