Can we finally say Nvidia screwed the Pooch?

Ok it seems like Nvidia is unable to use the Geforce MX in one of its major intended roles: laptop video. This is a very lucrative segment of the market and its undeniable that Nvidia wanted to get the MX in laptops. My question is what caused them to fail? Too much heat, takes too much power? Anyone know?
