Can we drop some of the 'Anchored' threads in Gen HW?

There's like 6 of them. You can't even see what's going on in the forum without scrolling past them.....

1) Everyone who cares has read the one from Anand on the pipe and features. (It's a month old)
2) AMD Reality Check has started or is just about to so we can likely drop it (it's also almost a month old).
3) Is ANAND going to be making his own banners to show on the site so that we can drop this thread and just add another banner in the pool to ignore?
4) FAQs are FAQ'in good.
5) Mobile review suggestions is still going so that's ok....
6) Why is the OCZ memory thread stuck there? If people keep posting to it it'll stay up there but it should hardly be anchored (or maybe I'm just refreshing at the point where it's always at the top...but I doubt it).

I do agree with thorin though. We should put a limit on sticky threads, maybe 5 not including Moderator/Zuni/Anand placed messages.

I was exagerating. And that's not the point. The point is less then half of them are still relevant.

well, there are only 10 in Hot deals. Most of them are to make up for people who are too stupid to read the rules before posting. then a 3rd of them are advertisements.

You know to be perfectly honest since there's always so many there I subconciously skip right over them with my eyes, just like I filter TV commercials. I had no idea there were so many in GH until you pointed it out.

I did take notice when they were first used, though. Back then they were used sparringly and that's probably the difference.
