Can we combine the SCSI And IDE hard drive

Dear,
I am currently using one 9.1 scsi seagate hard drive, i plan to upgrade my system and i dont know if it possible for me to use the scsi hd as the os disk and combine use the ide hard drive as the extra store? is it gonna be any problem for my comp at all, please give me some advice for this situation

As long as your BIOS lets you choose the boot device, it shouldn't be any problem. If not, then (I believe) IDE get picked as the boot drive over SCSI when both are in the system.
