Can we change processor on a laptop?

Might soon get a laptop M40 Satellite from toshiba, and it come with a 735 centrino.Will i by able to change this processor in the future?
 
You will probably be able to, but it is always tricky. Technically you can physically replace the CPU, the question is whether the notebook BIOS will recognize everything OK. I'd say you have about an 80% chance of it working
