Thanks to him my fingertips are bright red and hurt like hell. 8+ hours of braiding solid core 24 gauge wire will do that.

On the bright side I do have nearly two out of the 7 three pair braids I will need to do for one of the 21 pair cables.

For the hell of it.

I have pushing 2000 feet of cat5 sitting around unused, & a home theater that I always want to upgrade.

Figured it was cheap (all I'll have to buy is end connectors + a big roll of heatshrink tubing), & they should serve me for a long time.

Maybe, I have some decent 12 gauge cable I can compare it to.

If it were just stranded 12 gauge vs some "high end" cable (Monster Cable) I'd agree with you 100%, but for a braided individually shielded cable I dunno.

I guess I"ll find out.
