I'm thinking about going completely wireless for my network but would like to continue using the wake-on-lan feature.

Is that possible with a wireless network?

thank you.

Because a I have never seen a wireless USB adapter or wireless PC card that says it has wake-on-lan.

Have you ever seen a wireless USB adapter or wireless PC card with a connection to the motherboard wake-on-lan connector?

Ahh... Your question was unclean:

I read it as:
Can I wake up a PC via wireless (the PC to be woken up being a wired one with WOL)

What your asking:
Is there a wireless Wake on Lan or is there a wireless adapter that can be woken up.

Some motherboards have a wake on USB. So why couln't you? I would also presume that one of the PCI versions of wireless cards would have WOL function

USB can not do this functions or any similar function since it needs CPU and other parts of the System to be alive and work.

I think that PCMCIA is similar in this sense I.e. it needs a live bus.

I would assume that PCI Wireless should be capable to have WOL. I never saw one but it might in existence.
