Can video card drivers / cards cause "Kernel Power Error" in eventlog? (Win7 64-bit)

Just wondering. Having some issues with spontaneous reboots while running DC on my new 7950, rig is a G3258, was OCed (stable for months) at 3.8, with a 7790 and then variously with only the Intel IGP and Linux. Dropped it down to 3.7 for a test.

Never reboots when I'm at the machine.

Getting "Kernel Power Error" in Eventlog in Win7 64-bit HP SP1. Three so far in three days.

PSU is an EarthWatts 500W that sat on a shelf for 3-4 years before being installed.

Measuring a molex with a DMM while crunching, yields a pretty decent solid 11.92-11.93V.

Running the newest Catalyst Omega 14.12 WHQL drivers.

No Win7 updates have been done yet. (Fresh install.)

PC is connected to UPS, 550VA / 330W. Power usage as measured by the UPS software is up to 224W, including the LCD monitor, my laptop, and my tablet.

Edit: Temps for CPU measured with CoreTemp 1.0RC6 are 83C and 71C (the spread is consistent between cores, for some reason), and the GPU never gets over 70C, or about 55% fan speed.
