Can using recirculate with car A/C systems hurt them?

So if it's real hot out use recirculate, but otherwise use fresh air to avoid short cycling?

Tried. :( Damned GM put the low pressure cap way down behind the engine next to the firewall and you can't get to it with the home recharge kits.

Get rid of the Malibu. I've never had a problem using A/C on recirculate. If that POS car can't handle running the A/C on recirc. there's something wrong with it or it's just poorly designed.
