Can Untucked shirts be business casual?

What does the "logical/sensible" side of you say? It should have told you how bad it would look to wear slacks and an untucked button up dress shirt. I mean, really? You actually considered dressing like that?
Yeah, programmers are known for having mainstream dress sense...

I do that every day. If you're fat, it's not going to work but athletic build and fitted shirt you're good to go.

business casual IMO is a minimum of slacks and a tucked in polo

Also, there are only certain button down shirts that look right untucked... and you'll know them because they'll be nearly straight across the bottom:

Dress shirts have a longer front and back, and are absolutely to be tucked in at all times. If you wear a shirt like this untucked you look like a slob:

I would purposely show up to work with my shirt untucked. I would get sent home. I worked in a warehouse lol.
