Yes, the front can be taken off, both parts. I just got an SX 830 and my dad has an SX1030. We took the front off to see if they were the same underneath.

The bezel will come off, not easily. Pull both side panels to get at the lock tabs. Wouldn't do much good to have a locking door if the front just popped off.

Pretty pointless cutting up one of these beauties, IMHO. Four medium flow 80mm's will cool damn near anything in one of these as the restriction to airflow is almost nil.

Yeah, I was wondering this too on my SX1030B case. I have it maxed with 4 Antec 80mm fans and it stays at a cool 69F.

no point cutting them up, they're already really good flow, but you might want to put in some air filter though

I tried getting the front bezel off without taking the other side panel off. Got all the tabs unhooked except for the top right one... couldn't reach it. Anyway, after trying unsuccessfully, I figured it would too much work to have to pop that out every month to vacuum the dust off the filter...

Anyone able to get the front bezel off without taking off the other side panel?

I think that the lock tabs could be altered so that they are like the tension tab on the door. That way, the bezel would just pop off.

Hey guys, i don't have this case yet, but i am thinking of getting it.

I am thinking of doing a neon mod like this to my antec 1030b. I was wondering if this would restrict air intake from the front bezel? As I said i have not seen the case so I don't know if those slots were the heon are, are used for air intake, or if the air is brought in from other spots on the front of the case?

Mikef208-

Just putting it in like pic#3 would be OK, but the arched cross-slots are where the air comes in. Might get away with blocking every third slot. You'll see when you get the case.

Yeah that is what I figured, but the guy that did the one in the pics says that he has an overclocked Tbird in his, so he must be getting decent cooling some how.

I have the 4 80mm fans on my sx1040b, along with a 120mm intake for the pci/agp, and one 92mm chimney up top. They are all panaflo's and run quite. I also did some led modding to it. I have an led hidden behind each grate up front, one on each side. they pan up and down in parellel like the nightrider lights, I also made a button below the reset button to turn them on/off. very slick case.
