can u guys verify my pc health is ok?

New system here, about three weeks old

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775
MSI NX8800GTS 512M OC GeForce 8800GTS
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX ATX12V V2.2 550W Power Supply - Retail

was not one of my smoothest builds, i was sent a bunk psu. once i had it running it was running hot, i mean real hot (81c), so i had to shut down immediately. I removed the old thermal paste and reapplied, this time to the hsf aswell (fuck Intels pre applied strips of thermal paste). I take responsibility tho as i think 1 of the 4 pins was not pushed all the way in, messing up the way the hsf was seated. Then, stupid me, i forget to plug in the pci-e cord into my grfx card, so that took me another 2 hours before i realized.

ATM here are my vitals. Some do alarm me.

VOLTAGE TEMPERATURE
VCorA 1.150
+3.3V 3.310
+12v 12.040
CPU Vid 1.320

TEMPERATURE
******System 46c (HOT?? no dust, good airflow)
CPU 29c
GPU 60c (IDLE)

FANS
CPU***** (825 RPM, was running at like 2.5k when the cpu was 81c)

My Concerns:

1)Mobo temp is alarming (dont kno what else i can do? air flow is excellent) Is this hot? i really dont even kno what to do. Ive got 1 large system fan atm. Should i look into getting one from thermaltake or whatever? I currently have it plugged into the mobo as opposed to the psu atm so i can monitor rpm. i will try plugging it into the power supply.

2)CPU RPM of fan. Cpu is cool, 29, but if i enable beep on hardware monitor alarm, it beeps until i have to turn it off because of the cpu fan rpm is to low. Is it just a smart fan? i mean it was at 2.5k at one point..

Thanks for all your help guys.

All of those numbers look ok. I wouldn't worry about it. I tried the BIOS temp alarm in a recent build and got the same results as you. The stupid thing started beeping and wouldn't shut up :^P

I also think the Heatsink wasn't fully mounted on the previous build. 81C is way too hot, and the mb did what it should by pegging the fan to try to cool itself off.

You may have too much thermal compound on the cpu if you put some on both the cpu and the hs. What you're looking for is a very thin layer that completely covers the top of the cpu without oozing out when the hs is clamped down. Lately I've just been putting a pea sized blob in the center of the cpu, and letting it spread when I clamp the hs down. It's worked as well as it did when I went through a bunch of trouble to pre-spread the compound, so I think this will be my new technique.

well thats a bit of relief.

as farm as the thermal paste goes i put a real thin layer on the cpu. smaller then a pea size ever in one corner and used the fine surface of a razorblade to spread the paste evenly. I have to say i am pretty adroit person, so i think it was about as evenly spread as it gets. For the hsf i just rubbed some paste on the copper and wiped it off about a minute later. Ive heared it helps fill the microvalleys.

neways, neone else have ne comments?
all help is welcomed and much appreciated.
