I was looking at this bag of Restaurant Tortilla chips that were unopened. The date on them says one month ago. They looked good....one tasted fine (sorta flat on the taste though if u know what i mean)...will it get me sick or something??

No, you won't get sick. You could probably eat them 1000 years from now and not get sick.

I got sick from eating a bag of chips that were a month old. Nobody else did, but we weren't all eating from the same bag. I guess its kinda luck.

As long as the bag was sealed, you should be fine. Manufacturers are very conservative with their expiration dates in order to avoid lawsuits and encourage quick consumption/disposal (and the resultant buying of new product).

there are certain things' exp dates that you should pay close attention to, chips since they are dry goods last a little longer than the exp date if they are sealed. Now milk is a different story. I drank milk like 3 hrs after the exp date (it was like 3 am and i was thirsty) and I spent the next day in the bathroom.

WEAK, dude. WEAK. Milk isn't even good until it's a few days (3-4) past the expiration date. No taste. Once it gets the good taste though, it gets bad pretty quick.
