Can two CAT5 cables be wrapped ?

Just wondering how close two seperate CAT5 cable can be...

Can they be wrapped together?

Is there any risk of interference ??

cat5 cables are twisted pairs. This is done to minimize interference between the wires inside the cat5 cable.

To answer your question, you can tape them together side by side or wrap them around each other and you should have no problem. Just watch that you don't run them right beside your house electrical wiring. That may cause some issues. At least 6 inches away from electrical wires and you should be fine.

If you open up the ceilings in most office buildings you'll see bundles of Cat5 cables a foot thick. Running them together is NO problem.

ya dude, what they said is 100% accurate. ballasts from florescent lights and electrical cables are a problem , other CAT5 is not
